Recycled Glass Countertops: Sustainable and Beautiful Kitchen Details

June 05, 2015 / 0 Comments

We recently remodeled a beach condo just across the street from the beach in an older condominium community in Myrtle Beach, Ocean View Towers. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to live a short walk from the beach and a short drive from everything Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach has to offer.

We’ll be sharing all the before and after photos as soon as the furniture has arrived. Until then, we want to show off one of our favorite selections for the kitchen, the recycled glass countertops!

Recycled glass countertops offer a balance of design and sustainability, providing a high design solution that addresses a real issue. The countertops merge recycled glass and cement compositions that add a unique style to a normally ordinary detail.

Sustainable products that are aesthetically pleasing and easy on the budget are ideal when it comes to remodeling projects. We try to find sustainable or energy efficient products that coincide with the project’s vision and budget. Countertops that include recycled glass come in a variety of styles and colors making it easy to incorporate into just about any project.

We chose a style that utilized smaller pieces of glass with a lighter color to provide a background to emphasize the other selections in the kitchen. Not only does the countertop subtly shimmer in the light, but it also accents the gold-brushed, antique fixtures.

We can’t wait to try out other styles on our next remodeling project!
